Financial Institution Buylists

All financial institutions have two branches like skill trees that you choose to join when you reach tier 2 membership. You may only choose one branch per character.


Department M-12

Tier 1: Department Service Weapon

Phys Rep: A simple pistol
Description: A firearm designed to incapacitate suspects with rubber bullets.
Mechanics: Spend 5 Mind, to call “Stun” on your next attempted Ranged Attack. Marksmen may spend an additional 10 Mind to add “Line Of Sight, No Defend”.

Investigator Branch

    Interview Room

    Type: Room Augment Augment (Dungeon)

    Expiraition: 3 Months

    Phys Rep: A 10x10 room that is equipped with a table, two chairs, and a single, bright light.

    Description: A room designed to unnerve and put pressure on suspects to give answers.

    Mechanics: Requires Basic Malicious OR Proficient Mental Endurance. Allows two people to question a single target. May spend 10 Mind to call “Negated, Interview Room” in response to a use of Basic Mental Endurance to not answer a question asked using Basic Malicious. Inquisitors may spend 15 Mind and call “Interview Room: No Shoe Tack, 30 Minutes” to prevent the use of the “Oh Shit Shoe Tack” for 30 minutes within the 10x10 space. Generates Gizmo: Evidence <Target Name> upon completion. This Gizmo is placed on a Local Plot Item card.

    Phys Rep: A manilla folder/dossier filled with a suspect’s profile.

    Description: A dossier with a complete profile of a suspect used to track them down no matter what.

    Mechanics: Once per 12s, by expending 5 Gizmo: Evidence related to a single target AND 20 Mind, you may call “By This Town, <Target Name>, No Stealth, No Escape, 4 Hours!” Evidence cards are generated with other M12 items and given out during certain mods.

Forensics Branch

    4&6 Field Kit

    Type: Gizmo

    Expiration: 3 Months

    Phys Rep: A small case filled with sample jars, dusters, magnifying glasses, and other tools.

    Description: A portable kit for discerning facts about what occurred in a location.

    Mechanics: By spending 10 Mind and 10 minutes of Full Engagement Active Roleplay in a 10x10 area dusting for prints and taking samples, you may ask a Guide 3 questions about anything that physically happened in that area in the past 12 hours. Mind Killers may instead ask 3 questions about any psionic activity. Generates Gizmo: Evidence upon completion. This Gizmo is placed on a Local Plot Mechanic card.

    4&6 Laboratory

    Type: Room Augment

    Expiration: 3 Months

    Phys Rep: A 10x10 space filled with beakers, microscopes, and other scientific equipment.

    Description: A laboratory designed to extract information out of inanimate materials and samples.

    Mechanics: By spending 5 Mind and 10 minutes of Full Engagement Active Roleplay with an item, you may ask a question pertaining to that item. You may do this once per appropriate Lore you possess, expending additional Mind and time for each one. Graverobbers may use this mechanic with a corpse that hasn’t sunk yet. This prevents the corpse from sinking as long as tests are being run on it, up to 90 minutes. Generates Gizmo: Evidence upon completion of tests. This Gizmo is placed on a Local Plot Mechanic card.

HOVLaneville

Tier 1: Git'er Dun Hammer
Type: Augment - Any Melee Small

Expiration: 3 Months
Phys Rep: A small hammer or mallet
Description: A small hammer that is used by the Builders of HOVLaneville to make quick repairs on the fly.

Mechanics: 1 Mind and 30 Seconds of Full Engagement and Active Roleplay to Jury Rig a broken Weapon. Call: “Jury Rigged: 10 Minutes” The repaired item will break after the 10 Minutes and cannot be Jury Rigged again until it's fully repaired.

Builder’s Guild Branch

    Pro-Shop Clan Hand Crucible & Dies

    Type: Gizmo

    Expiration: 3 Months

    Phys Rep: A series of punches and die casting equipment, as well as a small smelting rep that could reasonably act as a furnace.

    Description: A set of crucible bowls and a portable die-caster that can be used to aid an Artisan in quickly producing trinkets and augments to spec.

    Mechanics: When using Artisan to create a Gizmo, they can craft two single use Gizmos of the same type simultaneously. They must still expend the materials and Mind for both Gizmos. Does not stack with other Room Augments or Gizmos. Note: The second item is to be written on a Local Plot Card.

    Pro-Shop Portable Partition

    Type: Gizmo Augment (Defensible Position)

    Expiration: 3 Months

    Phys Rep: A set of construction tools

    Description: Tools and materials used for repositioning defensive fortifications.

    Mechanics: Allows a Defensible Position to be moved up to 3 times in an event, once moved, must remain in place for 1 hour or the next 12s, whichever is shorter.

Doctor’s association branch

    Qwik-Cat Trauma Bandage

    Type: Gizmo

    Expiration: 3 Months

    Phys Rep: A roll heavy cloth or thick gauze.

    Description: Heavy duty bandages used to staunch heavy bleeding or splint broken bones.

    Mechanics: With Basic Medical, the user may spend 30 seconds of Full Engagement Roleplay to Stabilize and Heal a Patient for 1 Body. (3 Uses - Gizmo is consumed upon final use). With Proficient Medical, the user may expend all 3 Uses, 5 Mind, 10 Seconds, and the Gizmo to mend a Mangled limb for 5 Minutes. When the 5 minutes expire, the limb rebreaks and costs double the time and Mind to mend.

    The Board Of Health

    Type: Augment (Candlepin Medical Kit)

    Expiration: 3 Months

    Phys Rep: A clipboard.

    Description: A clipboard with charts and information to assist with medical treatment.

    Mechanics:

    Choose one at purchase:

    Change the Master Achievement of the augmented item to: Battlefield Commander: Spend 20 Mind or 1 Resolve to call "On Your Feet!: Upsurge 10 Body." If used on an ally in Bleed Out it instead heals 10 Body. - once per 12s.

    Change Basic Mechanic to:

    State "Pay Your Doctors" and for each currency given to the user, that person may state "Upsurge ‘X’ Mind", ‘X’ being the amount of currency given to a target. Maximum10 Mind.

Description: A well-worn case you transport documents and other items that shows you mean business.
Mechanics: Reduce the cost of Basic Social Influence to gain entry to a private business or Criminal Influence meeting to 2 Mind. Counts as a container for attaching traps.

    Phys Rep: n/a

    Description: The Financial Branch of New Paradise are expertly adept at manipulating the web of red tape and bureaucracy that allows access to resources and liquid capital.

    Mechanics: Expend the Red Tape to inflict a -1 or +1 to the current standing of a Financial Institution at the next Event. Only one Red Tape may be used on a Financial Institution at a time.

    New Paradise Passbook

    Type: Gizmo

    Expiration: 3 Months

    Phys Rep: A heavy ledger or leather bound book.

    Description: A meticulous list of transactions in the local area used to help inform investments and get the most bang for your buck.

    Mechanics: User may, after learning the results of a Proficient Financial roll, sacrifice any further rolls to double the amount received. In addition the user may sacrifice the ability to reroll the result to double the new amount received. The New Paradise Passbook also renders the wielder immune to uses of Proficient Mental Endurance.

    A Simple Black Bag

    Type: Gizmo

    Expiration: 3 months

    Phys Rep: A black bag or length of black cloth

    Description: A simple black bag dense enough to block sight and muffle sounds.

    Mechanics: Spend 10 Mind to call “Subdued, Black Bag '' on the next attempted Brawling Strike from behind the Target. If successful the Target is considered Subdued, Blind, and cannot speak until the Black Bag is removed. The physrep should be placed over the Target's hands for safety reasons.

    Deferred Payment Ensemble

    Type: Armor

    Expiration: 3 Months

    Phys Rep: A black suit with a white shirt and black tie.

    Description: All NPSL agents should always put the best image forward from the lowest intern to the ranks of the Collection Agents. First impressions are everything.

    Mechanics: Provides 10 Armor Health. May call “No Effect” to any item or skill that would negate the use of Basic Social Influence. Additionally the user may call “Delayed, 1 hour” to any use of Choking Blow and may use Avoid on Proficient Malicious from behind.

Stand-The-Line Dog Tags

Type: Gizmo

Phys Rep: A piece of jewelry or cartridge.

Description: Tags to represent the stalwart and defiant nature of the soldiers of Second Division.

Mechanics: Once per 12s, in response to a Fear or Terror call, you may call “Stand The Line, Immune”.

Tunnel rats Branch

    Sentry Stopper

    Type: Gizmo

    Expiration: 3 Months

    Phys Rep: A length of thin wire or solid club.

    Description: A simple tool to help keep things quiet during infiltrations.

    Mechanics: Requires Unarmed Combat or Melee Small. A garrotte or blackjack that reduces the cost of Choking Blow to 1 Mind.

    Light At The End Of The Tunnel

    Type: Gizmo

    Expiration: 3 Months

    Phys Rep: A headlamp or flashlight.

    Description: A lamp that can flash brightly to illuminate your surroundings.

    Mechanics: Requires Proficient Awareness. Once per 12s, you may use Proficient Awareness at no cost.

The wall branch

  • Requires Proficient Second Division Society Membership (The Wall)

    Devil Killer Bullets

    Type: Gizmo

    Expiration: 3 Months

    Phys Rep: A magazine of bullets.

    Description: Special bullets created by Fallow gunsmiths to wound the undead.

    Mechanics: These bullets count as an augment for a gun and may only be used by that gun. The base damage for the gun becomes 5 Undead Bane for 6 shots only or one use of Scatter Shot. After either 6 shots OR a Scatter Shot, the gun is broken until Repaired.

    Lord Commander’s Wrath

    Type: Gizmo

    Expiration: 3 Months

    Phys Rep: A holy symbol or badge.

    Description: A symbol of the strength of the Second Division that spurs one into battle.

    Mechanics: Once per event the user may spend 20 Mind or 1 Resolve and call "The Lord Commander is with me!", for the next 5 minutes the user is Immune to Fear, Terror and may swing 5 once per flurry or 5 seconds (whichever comes first).

Society of merit

Tier 1
Meritorious Sash

Phys Rep: A green sash worn across the body
Description: A sash all Meriteers wear in order to show off the many badges they have acquired through all their adventures.
Mechanics: Once per 12s a person wearing the sash may reduce the Mind cost of Avoid or Balance to 1 Mind in response to an environmental threat. Must have the skills Avoid or Balance to use.

Adventurer Branch

    Beret Of Adventure

    Type: Gizmo

    Expiration: 3 Months

    Phys Rep: A green beret

    Description: A well-worn beret that has seen many adventures and mishaps.

    Mechanics: While wearing the Beret the user may spend 10 Mind in response to triggering a trap to call “No effect, Adventurous!” and reset the trap as if it had not been triggered. In addition, if the user places their Beret over the trap the trap will count as disabled until the Beret is removed.

    Uniform Of Destiny

    Type: Armor

    Expiration: 3 Months

    Phys Rep: A green top with tan bottoms.

    Description: The official uniform of the Society Of Merit, nothing can stop an adventurer in full uniform.

    Mechanics: Requires Enhanced Movement. 10 Armor. If you are also wearing a Beret Of Adventure or Meritorious Sash, you gain +5 Armor, up to a maximum of 20 Armor. In response to an environmental Area Of Effect or By My Voice call, wearer may spend 20 Mind or 1 Resolve to call “Hightailing Adventure” to escape to a safe area outside of the scene. If you are an Avontuur, you may spend 1 additional Resolve to carry another person with you.

    Meriteer’s Homemade Munchies

    Type: Single-Use Consumed Meal

    Expiration: 3 Months

    Phys Rep: A bag or container of snacks (popcorn, cookies, trail mix, etc)

    Description: A yummy snack in a convenient container to help you keep on trucking.

    Mechanics: 3 servings. Upsurge 10 Body. Additionally, after consuming this meal, the symptoms/side effects of a SINGLE disease you have will be suppressed for the remainder of the event. This effect does not stack. This meal cannot be augmented.

    Phys Rep: A stand and grill plate

    Description: A set of tools and equipment for making a quick cookfire.

    Mechanics: Requires Culinary. The User may use Meal or Brew Blueprints without a Culinary crafting zone. You may not use any Culinary Procedures or Gizmos with this item. If you have the Artisanal Cuisiner PFA you may use Culinary Procedures and Gizmos with this item. While using this item Upsurge 10 Body and gain Immunity to Terror.
